Position Description
The role of the Sleep Technician (ST) / Analyst is to ensure the provision of a high standard of patient care, and the provision of accurate and high quality technical recordings. Specifically, the technician will be required to monitor and interpret polysomnographic recordings, assist patients overnight, complete technical reports, implement treatment therapies, and follow the policies and procedures set out set out by The Memorial Hospital and Sleep SA
Employment Criteria
Essential
Tertiary qualification in physical science, psychology, or related discipline;
Excellent patient care and communication skills;
A high level of computer literacy;
CPR training and confidence in performing CPR
Desirable
Knowledge of sleep physiology;
Experience in polysomnographic recording and or treatment therapies;
Experience in the use of sleep software systems (Compumedics)
